  • The purpose of this lovely little Andigraf image is to showcase the skills behind the classy crochet cardigan modelled by my daughter. My wife got talking to the person who crocheted it and asked where she learnt her crochet knowhow. “Simple,” she replied, “YouTube”. It turns out there is a virtuous circle of crochet mentors and learners sharing questions, tips and advice. Earlier in the week I asked colleagues what sites they needed access to as we were having to start up a new piece of filtering software and I was worried the change would filter lots of the sites that we have always made accessible. The head of science soon replied saying that YouTube was an essential resource and they couldn’t do without it.
