  • In Our Time - The Written World

    I really enjoyed listening to Melvyn Bragg’s radio programme on the development of written language. I think we tend to overlook the fact that writing has always evolved alongside the technology that was available to support it at that time. Whether it was hot pokers and ox bone, wax tablet and stylus or clay block - the way that we communicate has always been shaped by the communicative apparatus available to us.
